Captivated by the city’s charm, she decided to make it her home, dedicating nine fruitful years to private practice and educating future RMTs at Vancouver’s College of Massage Therapy.
In 2016, an exciting work opportunity beckoned her husband and her to Powell River, where they found their haven.
Jamie’s approach to treatments is a blend of education, and serenity. She holds a profound belief in the pivotal role our nervous system plays in processing pain, striving not just to alleviate discomfort but to unravel its root cause. It’s about understanding ‘why’ those spots of pain exist in the first place, paving the way for lasting relief.
Focusing on postural realignment and restoring range of motion affected by joint or muscular issues, Jamie employs evidence based practices while also recognizes the pure power of relaxation—sometimes, letting your body unwind is the key to alleviating everyday stress and aches. Don’t hesitate to book a session solely dedicated to relaxation.
She has had success, as well as enjoyment, working with various issues like chronic low back, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, plantar fasciitis, and sciatica. She has also had the opportunity to work with many complex cases including Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, and Traumatic Brain Injuries.
Outside her practice, Jamie immerses herself in nature, often exploring local trails with her faithful companion Jack, her husband, and young son. Whether swimming in the crystalline lakes, mountain biking on our many trails, or unwinding at home surrounded by loved ones, she cherishes every moment.
